The Scythe is an infamous and secretive factions of assassins that spreads it's operation all across the Blight Nebula and the surrounding planetary systems. Working as both a business and a terrorist group, The Scythe is one of the most feared groups in the Whirlpool. Few know of it's actual existence, but most believe it to be a myth or legend.

Founding[]
The Scythe originally sprung from a terrorist group called the Shenian Marauders, which bases itself in the Shen Xiu Planetary System. A high ranking assassin of the marauders, Micia Kilreo, tired of the continously failing efforts of terrorism and the limits of the Planetary System and formed his own terrorist group.
Shortly after the founding of The Scythe, Micia was found out by the Marauders and he, along with the rest of The Scythe, was blacklisted from the Planetary System. This angered Micia, so he took it upon himself to assassinate as many high ranking members as possible in the Slaughter of Blades. This sparked a silent war between the two factions, but, because of The Scythe's extreme level of secrecy, no significant conflict has arisen from this war.
