New Arm is a private military company that is currently owned by Vorcia, as a branch of the Vorcian military. It is based in the Outer Arm, but since it's alliance with Vorcia, it has expanded it's power throughout the galaxy. The name is based on it's leader's defection of separate government in the Outer Arm.
History[]
At one point during the Shen Xiu Uprising, at the Shen Xiu Planetary System in the Outer Arm, a small group of rebels banded together to create a new government with the resources they had, and called themselves the New Arm. Over the course of 15 years, an exponential amount of rebels joined the New Arm and effectively took over half of the Outer Arm government. The few who had not joined but were still against the government had turned to renegade soldiers, and formed the Shenian Marauders, an anarchist terrorist group basing its operations in the Shen Xiu Planetary System.
Meshrem Ambush[]
About seventy years after the formation of the rebels, an outpost in the Shen Xiu system controlled by the New Arm was attacked by Marauders, destroying a starfighter and killing five New Arm operatives. New Arm responded with the First Battle of Meshrem Outpost. The battle was halted due to lack of resources necessary to win, and the New Arm were forced to fall back, resulting in a Marauder victory.
Vorcian Encounter[]
About one month later, a Vorcian Captain, Jemmes Nova, discovered the New Arm upon arriving at the Outer Arm and exploring the surrounding area. This led to the short lived alliance between Vorcia and the New Arm. During this alliance, the Fort Benzin Incident had occurred, which hindered the alliance between the two factions temporarily.
Several months later, the New Arm was integrated as a branch of the Vorcian military operating at their own discretion.
Second Battle of Meshrem[]

After the integration of the New Arm with the Vorcian military, the New Arm re-challenged Shenian Marauders to capture the terrirory they gained in the first battle, which proved to be a success.
